Remember, you don’t have to be the perfect host to make someone feel loved and welcome. Sometimes, it’s as simple as inviting them in and serving a ridiculously easy cream cheese dip. Seriously, this little act can brighten someone’s day more than you realize. Hospitality isn’t about impressing people with a fancy spread; it’s about showing you care. A simple snack and a warm smile can make someone feel seen, valued, and loved—and that’s what really matters.
How to Make This Easy Appetizer
I almost feel guilty dedicating an entire post to this recipe because it’s that simple. Seriously, all you do is open a block of cream cheese, plop it on a plate, and spoon some jelly or jam over the top. That’s it—you’re ready to serve! And if you accidentally bought a giant tub of cream cheese from Costco when you already had a full one at home (we’ve all been there, right. It can’t be just me), just use an ice cream scoop to portion it into a bowl. Then top it with your favorite jelly or jam. It’s the easiest, and that’s what makes it so perfect!
Ingredients

I love making this for the high schoolers who come over for the Bible study my son hosts. I used to go all out with more complicated dishes, but it turns out this dip is their absolute favorite. Which is perfect for those times that I remember they are coming when they five minutes away! Now, I just whip up this easy cream cheese dip, set out some Wheat Thins, and they’re thrilled. It’s simple, delicious, and always a hit!
Normally, I’d say grab a cute apron and let’s get baking, but there’s nothing to bake with this easy cream cheese and jelly dip! You might not even need an apron at all. That said, I still wear mine—I somehow always manage to spill on myself, even with the easiest dishes!
How To Make It
You literally just put the cream cheese on a plate and dump some jam on top of it. In my house, the teenagers always go for the apricot, but you can use any jam, jelly or spread you would like.

How To Serve It
I use this butter dish and then place it on a larger plate. That way, you have room to put crackers around it without getting soggy crackers from touching the jam and cream cheese. Yuck. Soggy crackers are the worst!

If I’m serving this as part of a charcuterie board, I put a scoop of cream cheese in a ramekin and drop the jelly on top.

I love adding this dip to a charcuterie board with ham, salami, and cheese. The teens especially enjoy piling the cream cheese and jelly onto a cracker with some meat. I know it sounds a little odd, but they absolutely love it! For a fun twist, try using pepper jelly or salsa instead. It pairs perfectly with Triscuits, tortilla chips, or even apple slices for a sweet and spicy combination.
And if you are looking for some other fun dips to serve friends or add to a charcuterie, try our hummus dip or pumpkin hummus dip or for a sweet addition, add some of our addicting Cream Cheese Caramel Apple Dip!

This is SO good! A family favorite is to use green pepper jelly! It brings me back to my childhood.
You can also use cocktail sauce over tiny cocktail shrimp. It’s really good!
